Trim Levels

With the 2019 Jeep Renegade comes four trims: Sport, Latitude, Trailhawk, and Limited. The base features 16-inch wheels, roof-rack rails, heated and power-adjustable mirrors, halogen headlights, daytime running lights, black door handles, and a rear lip spoiler. With the Latitude trim you'll get 17-inch aluminum wheels, body-colored door handles, fog lamps, and automatic headlights; while the off-road-oriented Trailhawk trim offers all-terrain tires, underbody skid plates, one rear and two front tow hooks, and a full-size spare. The Limited trim features 18-inch aluminum wheels, a bright exhaust tip, and power-folding mirrors with turn-signal indicators. Two limited editions, namely the Altitude and High Altitude, are also offered with the Renegade. The Altitude features high-gloss black exterior accents and 18-inch gloss-black wheels, while the High Altitude adds 19-inch Satin Granite Chrystal-painted wheels and LED lighting.

Engine

Two engines are offered with the Renegade. The standard engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder, mated to a nine-speed automatic, that makes 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. An option is a 1.3-liter four-cylinder, also paired with a nine-speed automatic, that produces 177 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard with the Renegade, and all-wheel drive is optional.

Performance

With the available Selec-Terrain Traction Management system, which offers up to five settings that include Auto, Snow, Sand, Mud, and available Rock, you can customize your driving experience according to the weather conditions and the terrain you're navigating. If you're into off-roading, opt for the Trailhawk trim that proudly carries a Trail Rated badge, signifying that this vehicle has been subjected to grueling off-road testing. This trim offers off-road-ready features such as hill-descent control, a raised suspension, a four-wheel-drive system with low-range settings, off-road tires, skid plates, and tow hooks, which all work together to afford you superior traction, water-fording ability, and maneuverability.

Interior

The cabin of the Renegade is surprisingly roomy for such a small crossover, and also features a configurable cargo area. The adjustable cargo floor can be moved up or down as needed, while the 60/40 split-folding rear seats can be folded flat if extra cargo space is required. With the Sport trim, you'll get a basic infotainment system that features a 5-inch display, Bluetooth, a USB port, and six speakers. This trim also offers keyless entry, push-button start, and air conditioning. The Latitude trim comes with an upgraded infotainment system that features a 7-inch display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and satellite radio; while the Trailhawk trim features all-season floor mats, a unique interior trim, a leather-wrapped shift knob, and upgraded cloth upholstery. The Limited trim adds luxury features such as heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Safety Features

Standard safety features included across all trims are trailer sway damping, electronic stability control, hill start assist, and cruise control. If you opt for the Advanced Technology Group package, you'll get automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, an automatic parking system, and automatic high beams.
